What Storage Devices does Retrospect Backup Support?

Whether you already have a backup storage device or you're just thinking of buying one, you can search our storage device compatibility database to see which devices EMC Insignia Retrospect Backup supports.

 

Storage Device Compatibility Terms

Qualified - Passed extensive in-house certification. Storage device is fully supported.

Compatible - Custom Configurable CD/DVD storage device. Storage Device is supported using the Custom Configuration feature in Retrospect 6.5 for Windows or 5.1 for Macintosh or later.

Not Tested - Unknown compatibility. This device has not been tested in-house and is not supported.

No Support - Failed in-house certification. This storage device does not function properly with Retrospect and is not supported.

Tape Autoloaders/Libraries Note: Autoloaders/Libraries require a server level product to function with Retrospect. You cannot use Autoloaders with Desktop or Professional products. For Windows needs Single Server, Small Business Server Premium or Standard, or Multi Server. For Mac needs Workgroup or Server products.

Hard Disk Drive/Removable Note: All Hard Disk Drives and Removable Media Drives are fully supported (excluding Floppy Disk Drives).

 

Storage Device Keyword Search

Enter one or two important words (for example, a manufacturer's name), then click Search. Use * to search for all backup storage devices.

 

Advanced Storage Device Search

Search for supported storage devices based on device manufacturer, interface type, media type, or operating system.
