Refund Policy
Returning a Product Purchased from EMC Insignia
Within 60 days of purchase, EMC will accept the return of any product purchased directly from EMC Insignia. EMC cannot process returns for products and services purchased from another source. Indirect orders of products and services must be returned to the source from which they were purchased and are subject to the return policies of that source.
Product Returns
To return a product purchased from EMC within the last 60 days:
1. Please provide the following information:
- the order number
- your name
- the product(s) you are returning
- the serial number(s), if applicable
- the reason for the return
2. Complete the Letter of Software Intellectual Property Non-Use.
Electronic Download Returns
To receive a refund for an electronically downloaded product, you must sign and return a Letter of Software Intellectual Property Non-Use. Please complete and sign the form and fax it to 925.942.0171. Attn: Customer Service/Returns.
Product Refunds
After EMC receives the return information; the refund process takes two to four weeks. You will be refunded by the same method as your payment. For example, if you paid by credit card, EMC will credit the same credit card account; if you ordered by purchase order and were invoiced, EMC will credit your account. (If you have already paid the invoice and have no outstanding balance, EMC will send you a refund check.)
Transferring ownership of your EMC Insignia product
To transfer ownership of your EMC Insignia product, please complete the Transfer of Ownership document and fax it to 925.600.5280.
