EMC® Retrospect® Express HD

Retrospect Express HD 2.0 now available!

Retrospect Express HD is now available from leading software retailers. If you purchased a Maxtor hard drive that came with Retrospect Express HD 1.0, you can upgrade to Retrospect Express HD 2.0 now to take advantage of the following new features:

  • New user interface. An enhanced point-and-click wizard guides users through a simple three-step process: choose what to protect, select a destination on a hard drive for storing backups, and set a schedule. Express HD does the rest.
  • Back up to a networked hard drive. Back up a computer on your home network to any drive on the network.
  • Data compression. Reduce the amount of disk space needed for backups by 50% or more.
  • Live updates. Receive updates for Express HD over the Internet.

Maxtor customers can purchase upgrades from Express HD 1.0 to 2.0 from Smith Micro.

To determine if you are currently using Retrospect Express HD 1.0, right click the Retrospect icon in the systems tray on your desktop and select “About Retrospect Express HD.” The version number appears in the upper right corner of the Retrospect window.
